In Race 3 Salt Spray battled for favoritism and then for the early lead with Cigarette Boat. Cigarette Boat came out as the favorite and Salt Spray came out on top of the pace battle and got the WIN after putting away his rival in deep stretch. In Race 6 Raining Sugar had the pace in front of her but could only muster a mild rally for fifth.

We’ll focus on a few more from Belmont at Aqueduct for Friday. Fast and firm conditions expected. Let’s get started!

Belmont at Aqueduct:

Race 8: Lady Beth - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

The Winter Memories at a mile on turf for three-year-old fillies is our feature race. The morning line favorite is the Chad Brown trained Tax Implications – a multiple stakes placed filly who has lost as the favorite in two of her last four starts and has a single win to her credit from five starts while never going off higher than 4.60/1. I think we can do better and I’m sticking with the Chad Brown barn at a better price. Lady Beth is 8/1 on the morning line and that makes sense. She’s returning off a Memorial Day weekend layoff where she finished a strong third behind Queen Picasso in her second career start as the favorite. She finished best of all that day and just missed the place. She has a steady work pattern over the last few months and jockey Flavien Prat hops back in the irons to give her another try. I love the fact that they’re bringing her right into stakes company off the layoff and the sprint to route move is a 32% winner for trainer Brown. Value at 8/1 or higher.

Best of luck to all our members playing Friday’s races from Belmont at Aqueduct!!
