Race 10: Nutella Fella - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 30/1)
The folks at Saratoga really saved the best for last with the Grade 1 Hopeful for two-year-olds at 7 furlongs. There are a few really impressive debut runners here that will battle it out for supremacy and I began the meet with a Gary Contessa trained longshot in a two-year-old stake and that’s how I plan on ending it. Nutella Fella won’t be on many public handicappers lists as their top pick but this guy won his debut at Delaware with an impressive turn of foot and I loved the way he galloped out, winning professionally despite bumping. Since that start he’s worked five times including a 7-furlong conditioning work, two five-furlong drills and a 3-furlong blitz in 34.4 seconds. This guy might be higher than his 30/1 morning line and I’m here for it as I don’t think he’ll need the lead and should sit the trip from just off the pace.
Best of luck to all our members playing Monday’s races from Saratoga!
