Wednesday’s Race Recap from Saratoga:

(All odds US)

Saratoga:

Race 7: 5th@ 8.90/1

Race 9: SCRATCH

Race 10: SCRATCH

Rain took the turf course out of commission again today and while our selections in Races 9 & 10 scratched we had Taciturn who stayed in to race on dirt in Race 7. Taciturn broke near the back and stayed there never mounting a serious rally. She’s a turf horse that I selected to race on turf but those are the breaks.

We’ve got sunny weather expected for our final Thursday of Saratoga meet but I’ll be handicapping only dirt races with the exception of the feature race.

Let’s get to work!

Saratoga:

Race 7: British Sea - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

The Grade 3 With Anticipation at a mile and a sixteenth for two-year-olds is our feature race on today’s card. British Sea is the selection here off a narrow loss at Ellis Park where this son of English Channel battled gamely down to the wire. He’s had five works since his most recent starts, making him the runner with the most works between starts. Third place finisher Ode to Balius would win his very next start improving his speed figure by 7 points. This barn has been waiting to catch fire this meet and maybe the final week is where it happens.

Best of luck to all our members playing Thursday’s races from Saratoga!
