Welcome back to closing week from Saratoga! We’ve had some great racing this meet and although the weather didn’t always cooperate during the meet it’s looking like we’ll be fast and firm for Wednesday’s races. Let’s get started!
Editor's note: Races have been taken off the turf today.
Race 10: Prix de West - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/1)
Maiden claimers go a mile and a sixteenth on turf. I had Prix de West last time in a similar spot but that race was rained off the turf. He still ran a good race off a four month break to be fourth after contesting the early pace. Today he adds Lasix and gets to what should be his preferred surface. This barn has had a good meet and they generally do well with first Lasix runners (20% wins over the last five years) and second off a layoff runners (17% over the last five years).
Best of luck to all our members playing Thursday’s races from Saratoga!
