Hello U.S. racing fans!

Travers week is finally here!

We’ve got no rain in the immediate forecast, so we’ll kick off a Wednesday of racing expecting fast and firm conditions. FIVE picks for a WEDNESDAY!

Let’s get to work!

Race 10: Iguazu - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

Maiden claimers sprint 5 1/2 furlongs on turf and once again I feel like the morning line here is off because to me Iguazu should be closer to 4/1 or 9/2 by post time. If we get 8/1 all the better. This gal didn’t do much running in her two turf sprints, but she’s been off since November and returns for a barn that wins with 26% of runners off similar layoffs. Wesley Ward is having another terrific meet winning with 27% of his overall starters. He does particularly well with turf sprinters and even better still with maiden claimers (33%). Iguazu had been working bullets in preparation for her return to the races and meets no competition today that come close to the future stakes winners she met in her first two starts.

Best of luck to all our members playing Wednesday’s races from Saratoga!
