We’ve got another exciting week of racing from Saratoga. We have off and on rain showers Monday and Tuesday in the area so I’m handicapping for “off the turf” for Wednesday. Let’s get to the action!

Race 6: Luz Divina - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

Maidens are slated to sprint 5 1/2 furlongs on turf and this is another that may get rained off. Either way Luz Divina is the selection. Trainer Tim Hamm is 0 for 4 at the meet but wins with 16% of his debut runners on dirt. He doesn’t use jockey Luis Saez often but when he does, he wins. He’s 3 for 6 for a 50% win percentage. This barn trained Dayoutoftheoffice to win the Grade 3 Schuylerville here in her second start back in 2020. She would go on to run second in the Grade Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies, so this barn knows what to do with a good filly. Luz Divina has worked over turf, dirt and synthetic and has those 5-furlong works we love to see. 10/1 or better is fair on this two-year-old daughter of Palace Malice.

Best of luck to all our members playing Wednesday’s races from Saratoga!
