Wednesday’s Race Recap from Saratoga:

Saratoga:
Race 4: 7th@ 11.50/1
Race 9: 7th@ 9.90/1
Race 10: 7th@ 7.60/1
Our week began with Bossmakinbossmoves NOT making any boss moves whatsoever as he checked in seventh. In Race 9, Sarah Harper was behind early and taken very wide into the stretch before flattening out. In Race 10 Into Touring was well back early and caught up late but hit a wall of horses in mid-stretch and had to ease up losing any chance.
Triple 7’s wasn’t the start to the week I had hoped for, but we’ll dust ourselves off and move forward to Thursday.
Let’s move on to Thursday’s race card. Once again (knocks wood) we’re expecting fast and firm conditions. Let’s get to work.
Saratoga:
Race 10: Sinaloa - 1 pt win (Us Morning Line Odds: 5/2)
The Linda Rice/Ortiz train keeps steaming along but it’s interesting to see Jose’s brother Irad taking the mount here as Jose’s been doing most of the damage for the Rice barn. This race is for maiden claimers bred in New York sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs on turf and I’m siding with Sinaloa. He has a single turf effort under his belt, and it was his debut effort where he was bumped at the break and slow into stride. Once he got rolling though, she really came with a nice run putting up an 1/8th of a mile turning for home in 10.95 seconds – blazing fast – and finishing up in an impressive 12.14 seconds. He adds blinkers today so hopefully that keeps him more focused and with the barn winning at 31% I think 5/2 is fair value here.
