Good morning U.S. racing fans!! We’ve got another EXCITING week of racing ahead from Saratoga. We’ve had a few longshot winners this meet and plenty of in-the-money finishes for our EW / across the board bettors. For Wednesday’s races we are fast and firm. Let’s get started!
Saratoga:
Race 10: Into Touring - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)
Claimers sprint 6 furlongs and this is a race with an abundance of early pace and not much staying power. Into Touring appears to be the closer of the group but has never actually raced on the main track before. Oftentimes these turf/synthetic runners have more foundation under their belts and can stay longer than traditional dirt sprinters, but she’ll need to show she can keep pace with them early and not drop too far off. Today she lands an 18% rider in Tyler Gaffalione and has a strong foundation of main track works that tell me she’s ready to try it. She just posted a three-furlong bullet work from the gate, so I like the fact that they’re trying to push her for some early speed. Trainer Peter Walden has won with 20% of his runners returning off similar layoffs.
Wishing our members the very best of luck on your wagers on Wednesday’s races from Saratoga!
