Saturday’s Race Recap from Saratoga:

(All odds US)

Saratoga:

Race 1: 3rd@ 7.70/1

Race 5: 1st@ 1.25/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 8: 2nd@ 14.70/1

Race 10: SCRATCH

In our first race of the day, Fortune Seller set a deliberate pace on debut and held tough until mid-stretch where he was passed by 3/5 favorite Noted and Spirit Prince. In Race 5, Undervalued Asset proved to be undervalued on the betting board at 1.25/1 while winning after stalking the early pace. In Race 8, Scramble had dead aim on the leaders turning for home and lost a photo finish that even the announcer thought we won at 14/1. A crushing defeat. We scratched from race 10.

Saturday’s Race Recap from Monmouth:

(All odds US)

Monmouth Park:

Race 7: 3rd@ 1.60/1

Race 9: 2nd@ 5.60/1

Race 11: 2nd@ 1.20/1

Race 12: 5th@ 4.80/1

In Race 7, Internal Capital had the trip off the pace but couldn’t capitalize when push came to shove and could only manage third. In Race 9, Witty came with his run and he was able to run into second but couldn’t catch the winner. In Race 11, Catnip had the lead until very late when he was passed by Therapist and we had to settle for second yet again. In Race 12 Tapit Trice raced near the back and rallied only mildly for fifth giving us our first off-the-board selection from seven picks on the day.

A win, three seconds and two thirds have us thirsty for revenge. Especially after that nasty 14/1 head-bob in Race 8.

Let’s close out the week with one more Saratoga race card. Handicapping for fast and firm conditions. Let’s get started!

Saratoga:

Race 10: My Cara Mia Mine - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 15/1)

New York bred fillies sprint 5 1/2 furlongs on turf and I’m siding with a runner who’s likely to be overlooked in this spot despite the fact that she owns this field’s top speed figure over both the Saratoga turf and today’s 5½ furlong distance. Eight of the 12 runners in this field are younger than she is and this four-year-old owns more starts than anyone in this field. I like experience in these types of sprint races. Two starts back she was completely shut off entering the stretch. Today she cuts back from a mile and a sixteenth and adds blinkers. Bombs away to end the day!

Best of luck to all our members playing Sunday’s races from Saratoga!
