Race 6: 1st@ 5.60/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 9: 5th@ 3.50/1

In Race 4, Butter Cake broke last in her debut and was ridden along by jockey Joey Martinez. She made up some ground but could do no better than fifth. In Race 6, Everybodyloveslinda shot to the lead from her inside post while making her turf debut and never looked back hanging on for a nose win at 5.60/1. In Race 9, Shoppingatbloomies sped to the early lead and led until the top of the stretch when she was swarmed by her rivals.

Churchill Downs:

Race 3: 1st@ 2.17/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 5: 2nd@ 1.04/1

Race 9: 2nd@ 3.20/1

In Race 3, Lincoln Highway was bet down to 3/2 favoritism early off a 6/1 morning line. He eventually went off at 2/1 and stalked the early pace and gradually wore down a game Soybean Man for the WIN! In Race 5, Pumpkin Scone had the run of the race from the outside in her debut. She wrestled the lead from Absinthe in midstretch only to be run down from the outside by a stone closer in Mo Town Mayhem. In Race 9, Truly Quality was well back early, made a menacing move on the turn, checked briefly in mid-stretch then muscled his way through and finished second.

Another profitable day with two winners and two second place finishes from six selections.

Let’s close out the week with New York bred day from Belmont Park! Fast and firm conditions are expected once again. Let’s get to work!

Belmont Park:

Race 8: Jerry the Nipper - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

The Kingston Stakes is a mile and a sixteenth turf event for older horses. Before I opened the racing form for Monday’s races I hoped Jerry the Nipper would be entered in one of these turf races and we got our wish. Jerry made his turf debut as a five-year-old last year and ran a hole in the wind whistling a mile in 1:32 flat right here at Belmont. From there he was stretched to a mile and an eighth and battled gamely in the Ashley T. Cole but was ultimately fourth in another fast race. We caught him at nearly 6/1 in his most recent start on November 19 at Aqueduct at today’s distance where he showed a different dimension - rating from just off the pace and he was impressive again. He hails from top connections but still seems to be flying under the radar of many handicappers because there are a few in here with more impressive resumes. He’s been working well and if we can get 8/1 or better he’s worth a big shot.

Best of luck to all our members playing Monday’s races from Belmont Park!
