Our week began in Race 3 as Creole tried taking them start to finish and battled on gamely to the wire finishing third and missing top honors by a neck. In Race 5, Lusty led them from start to finish after the race shaped up exactly as we had hoped. In Race 7, Fortune’s Fool stalked Gunslinger early, took the lead turning for home at his 17/1 odds giving us a bit of a thrill before he was swarmed and passed in the stretch ending up fourth.
We’ll keep focused on Delaware for a Thursday race card. Once again, we’re expecting fast and firm conditions beneath sunny skies. Let’s get to work!
Delaware Park:
Race 8: Runaway Jack - 2 pts win - BEST BET (US Morning Line Odds: 9/5)
Maidens sprint 5 1/2 furlongs on the main track here. Runaway Jack is the selection over the remainder as his three most recent starts account for this entire field’s top three speed figures. Last time out, Jack finished second behind Federal Judge who would return to win the first race at Churchill Downs on Kentucky Derby day which featured a STACKED field of young runners. The third and fifth place finishers also returned to win their next starts. Third place finisher two back also won his next start. Formidable.
