Saturday’s Race Recap from Belmont Park:

(All odds US)

Belmont Park:

Race 5: 5th@ 0.60/1

Race 6: 1st@ 2.75/1 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

Race 7: 10th@ 13.50/1

Race 8: 6th@ 12.60/1

Race 10: 4th@ 1.75/1

Race 11: 3rd@ 7.20/1

In Race 5, Lefranco Dettori made an early move on Warren Point. It may have been too early as Red Knight followed his move and swept past for the win. Warren Point was beaten two noses and a head for second while fifth in a blanket finish behind. In Race 6, Arcangelo stalked the early pace and survived a battle with favored Bishops Bay for a win in the Grade 3 Peter Pan. In Race 7, Waflr looked to be sitting the perfect trip in his debut but got stuck and stymied behind horses on the turn and had no chance after that. In Race 8, Starquist was well back early and rallied mildly late. In Race 10, Get Your Kicks looked like she was poised to win on the far turn but got a little tired late and faded and in Race 11, Linarite made a good move too late for third.

Let’s close out the week with more beautiful weather at Belmont Park for Mother’s Day. We’re expecting fast and firm conditions once again. Let’s get to work!

Belmont Park:

Race 6: I’mhavingamoment - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

Allowance runners bred in New York sprint 6 furlongs and I’m siding with I’mhavingamoment, who’s making her turf debut today. Uncle Mo is a fair turf sprint sire at 13% wins but this one’s dam, Averymerrymoment, was a decent turf runner hitting the board in 3 of 4 turf starts. This runner has three siblings who were turf winners and strong connections – Bill Mott and John Velazquez. She’s got a sparkling drill on May 6 – 4 furlongs in 47.1. 8/1 odds are fair on this runner bred to excel on the surface switch.

Best of luck to all our members playing Sunday’s races from Belmont!
