Keeneland:

Race 2: 2nd@ 7.18/1

Race 4: 2nd@ 1.37/1

Race 7: 3rd@ 1.50/1

Our week began with yet another second place finish. This time at 7/1 as Say it Loud won a multiple horse photo for second behind Charging who went to the lead and never looked back. In Race 4, Exact Estimate also finished a fast-closing second behind Catnip after switching out in the stretch. In Race 7, Gold Luck was taken back to third to stalk the early pace, checked off heels entering the turn and continued on for third.

Two seconds and a third for the day as we set our sights on Aqueduct tomorrow.

Let’s move our tack up north to Aqueduct for Thursday’s races. We’re expecting fast and firm conditions. Let’s get right to it!

Aqueduct:

Race 8: Mama’s Gold - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

A competitive group of 12 lines up to sprint 7 furlongs and I like the speed here. Mama’s Gold faced reasonably tough fields in his first two starts before BLASTING an 8 horse field in a maiden claiming winning by more than 21 lengths and earning a lightning-fast speed figure of 96. That race producef two next out winners and 5 of 7 runners returned to improve their next out soeed figure. He was claimed from that race and once again jumped up in class where he set a quick pace before being swallowed up. Most recently he was stretched to a mile where he ran off early and tired late. Today he shortens up by a furlong and should control the pace. He’s got three strong workouts under his belt since that last start and switches from an apprentice to a journeyman rider in Trevor McCarthy. Gate to wire.

Best of luck to all our members playing Thursday’s races from Aqueduct!
