Race 3: 1st@ 3.10/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Race 4: 5th@ 8.80/1
Race 8: SCRATCH
In Race 3, Mr. Phil shot to the front from his rail post off the long layoff and was able to hold off a run from Stage Left for an overlaid 3.10/1 win. In Race 4, Geometrique was last early and rallied late, got caught in a blind switch turning for home while closing good ground late finishing in a photo for fourth. My longshot in Race 8 scratched.
We’ll keep our sights set on Aqueduct as we’re expecting balmy temperatures for the time of year with a fast main track and a firm turf course. Let’s get to work!
Aqueduct:
Race 6: Refutah - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/2)
A fun little one mile maiden special weight race for three-year-old and up runners bred in New York. Seven of these runners are three-year-olds and one is four. We’re siding with age and experience this time with Refutah. Last time out Refutah had a terrible start but recovered and looked like he was going to blast the field on the far turn. He ran into Olympic Dreams that day, who would also return to win his next start in impressive fashion. Today he gets a rider upgrade to Trevor McCarthy. He owns the best speed figures on the Aqueduct surface and at today’s one mile distance. It’s tough to refute that today looks like graduation day for Refutah.
