Saturday’s Race Recap from Aqueduct:

(All odds US)

Aqueduct:

Race 2: 4th@ 14.40/1

Race 4: 3rd@ 4.30/1

Race 8: 3rd@ 7.90/1

Race 11: 6th@ 4.40/1

In Race 2 our debut runner Mz Big Bucks broke last from the rail which is always a tough proposition. She rebounded well though and rushed up to contend, ultimately finishing fourth. In Race 4, Treaty Obligation had dead aim on favored Let it Ride for half the race and simply couldn’t run him down while finishing third. In Race 8, the Grade 1 Carter, Expressman battled with pacesetting Today’s Flavor through punishing early fractions, dropped back on the turn and came again to just miss second by a head-bob. In the Wood Memorial Slip Mahoney slipped to sixth.

Saturday’s Race Recap from Keeneland:

(All odds US)

Keeneland:

Race 9: 6th@ 18.41/1

Race 10: 1st@ 0.61/1 - 2pts win 🔥🔥🔥

In the Grade 1 Toyota Bluegrass Mendelssohns March stalked the early pace and was fifth in midstretch but was unable to make headway on the leaders and finished mid-pack. In Race 10, our BEST BET Squire Creek shot to the lead and put away two competitors early enroute to an emphatic win.

Saturday’s Race Recap from Santa Anita:

(All odds US)

Santa Anita:

Race 6: 6th@ 30.00/1

In the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby it was Practical Move just holding off a game run by Japan based Mandarin Hero in a thrilling finish. I don’t get it finished sixth.

It’s Easter Sunday so most of the U.S. tracks are closed. I’m going to take a look at a few races from Gulfstream Park to see if we can sneak home another winner or two before the week is over.

Gulfstream Park:

Race 5: Tickle My Fancy - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 20/1)

Turf maiden fillies sprint 7 1/2 furlongs. We’ve got a few in here that will take money based on connections but I’m going with the hot hand of Joe Orseno, who’s winning with his turf sprinters at a 17% clip this year. As a matter of fact, over the last two months he’s won with 20% of his turf sprinters and has hit the board with 50% of them at an average payoff of $18.60. For a usually low percentage trainer those numbers aren’t insignificant. Since March 19 he’s finished first or second with three of four turf sprinters at odds of 3/1, 13/1 and 7/1. Tickle My Fancy hit the gate in her debut back in February and that was all she wrote in a debut effort that saw several runners return to improve their next out speed figures. She’s been working well enough for her return and lures a hot rider who’s won 4 of his first 13 races at this meet.

Best of luck to all our members playing Sunday’s races from Gulfstream !
