Gulfstream Park:

Race 3: 2nd@ 1.20/1

Race 9: SCRATCH

We only ended up with one pick on the day after a scratch in Race 9. That was the debuting Magical Power in Race 3 who stalked a quick pace set by Jonas’ Dream, took the lead turning for home but was run down by Arcangelo in the lane. Once again we had to settle for second. An unfortunate theme for the month of March.

We’ll close out another week of exciting racing with Sunday’s race card from Aqueduct. We’ve got rain in the forecast for Gulfstream on Sunday so I’m going to hop back to Aqueduct where we’re expecting a fast main track. Let’s get to the action!

Sunday at Aqueduct:

Race 8: Andiamo a Firenze - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/2)

The Daymon Runyon at 6 furlongs for three-year-olds marks the return of Andiamo a Firenze to sprint races. This half brother to multiple graded stakes winner Firenze Fire was thrown into the Triple Crown trail in his last few starts despite his breeding which seemed to indicate he’d be a much better sprinter. Today he gets to try sprinting again and enters this off two strong workouts.

Best of luck to all our members playing Sunday’s races from Aqueduct!
