Good morning racing fans! I’m glad to welcome you back for another exciting week of racing from the US. We’ve got a bit of a break in the Kentucky Derby prep action but we’ve got a pair of sprint stakes for three year olds to look forward to on Saturday including the Hutcheson Stakes at 6 furlongs. In the meantime we’ll kick things off with a Wednesday card at Gulfstream. Fast and firm conditions are expected. Let’s get started!

Gulfstream Park:

Race 8: Parchita - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 15/1)

Fillies and mares sprint 5 furlongs on the turf in our final race of the day. Our lukewarm morning line favorite, Miss Sakamoto, has already lost as the favorite in three of her last four starts so I’m looking elsewhere. Parchita breaks from the rail with good early speed. She’s only run on synthetic to date but is a half to a five time turf sprint winner Nitro Time and hails from strong enough connections. Trainer Jose D’Angelo is winning at 19% on the year and is a very capable 15% in turf sprints. This miss had a snappy turf work on Feb. 10 and looks locked and loaded at long odds for her turf debut.

Best of luck to all our members playing Wednesday’s races from Gulfstream.
