In Race 1 we took a shot hoping Kentucky Kiss could speed-pop the field from her rail post but she was taken back and came with a wide, late rally for fifth instead. In Race 5 Grace Darling sat the perfect pocketed trip beneath Tyler Gaffalione, switched out in the stretch and powered away for the win with something left in the tank.
We will remain parked right here at Gulfstream for Friday’s races. Once again we’re expecting fast and firm conditions. Let’s get to the action!
Friday at Gulfstream Park:
Race 9: West Bank - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 7/5)
Maiden optional claimers sprint 7 furlongs here. West Bank was sent off at 9/1 in her debut but she’ll be much lower than that today as she faces 7 rivals. West Bank’s debut effort saw her put up a speed figure a full 14 points faster than her next closest rival today has ever put up on the main track. Horses generally improve second time out so West Bank looks like a free square and for our European members - if you can lock in the 7/5 morning line odds with your bookmakers I encourage you to do so. She’ll be more like 3/5 here in the U.S. by post time.
