Gulfstream Park:

Race 2: 1st@ 1.10/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 4: 3rd@ 3.10/1

Race 8: 2nd@ 2.30/1

It’s always nice to start the week with a WIN even if it’s an even money shot. Emma Jayne Wilson gave Too Much Vino the perfect stalking trip outside of the speed and powered clear late to win by 5 lengths. In Race 4, the speed duel never materialized as Extendo ran them all off their feet winning in track record time of 1:01.61 for 5 1/2 furlongs on the tapeta. Unified Weekend ran his race but could do no better than a closing third. In Race 8, Love and Money battled early with One Identity and was then challenged by Train to Artemus on the outside, battled on gamely down to the wire in a photo finish that unfortunately went to Train to Artemus getting the head-bob.

A win, a heartbreaker of a second place finish and a third place run from three selections on the day. Interesting to note that all three of our selections were bet down well below their morning line odds. This ultimately benefits our overseas bettors who wager with bookmakers as we continue to expose bad morning lines.

We’ll remain at Gulfstream for Thursday’s races as the weather has been close to perfect. Fast and firm conditions are expected. Let’s get to work!

Thursday at Gulfstream Park:

Race 8: Maya Prince - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 12/1)

Turf sprinters line up to run 5 furlongs in this one. As expected there’s a lot of speed signed on so I’m going with Maya Prince who should be able to come from just off the pace. Trainer Mike Trombetta is 0 for 9 to start the meet but wins 18% of his turf sprints. Last time out he ran just fine on synthetic at 6 1/2 furlongs but he’s a turf horse and he’s getting back to his preferred surface and distance. Low profile jockey does well for this barn and we might actually get the 12/1 morning line odds on this one.

Wishing our members the very best of luck playing Thursday’s races from Gulfstream!
