God's Tipster's Thursday Aqueduct Pick: The 8th is maiden claimer sprint and Mike Maker will Try it Again

Race 9: SCRATCH

In Race 1, Marilyn didn’t run to her breeding, racing wide on both turns before fading to 7th. We got revenge in Race 2 as Drinks on Me got a great stalking trip and ran down the pace setters to get a 5/2 victory.

We had our pick scratch from Race 9.

A winner from two selections as we move forward and let’s move to Aqueduct for Thursday’s races. We got some rainy weather on Tuesday and Wednesday in the New York area so I’ll be handicapping accordingly. Let’s get started.

Thursday at Aqueduct:

Race 8: Try it Again - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 7/2)

Maiden claimers bred in New York once again sprint 6 furlongs and after a pair of unsuccessful outings over a year ago, our selection is looking to Try it Again here facing maiden claimers for the first time. Trainer Mike Maker wins with 20% of his stock moving from maiden special to maiden claiming races. This runner has had a long layoff but faces no killers here and has had three consecutive improving five furlong drills this month. I’m a sucker for a five furlong workout plus the connections are solid.
