God's Tipster's Friday Aqueduct Pick: The 8th is mile for bottom-level claimers, but one is from hot barn

Thursday’s Race Recap from Aqueduct:

Race 1: 8th@ 9.60/1

Race 2: 8th@ 11.50/1

Race 5: 2nd@ 12.60/1

Race 7: SCRATCH

In Race 1, Moonflyer made us pay for giving him another chance on dirt. He was dreadful finishing a well beaten 8th. In Race 2, Family Band showed brief early speed before tiring. She’s probably better suited for pony rides at the local petting zoo. In Race 5, Mad Magic gave us our best run of the day rushing up to make the early lead before being overtaken by the eventual winner on the far turn. He then dropped back to sixth before re-rallying for second and was actually gaining on the winner at the end in a strangely run but game race from him at 12/1 odds. In Race 7 we had an early scratch.

Let’s head back to Aqueduct for some more Friday winter racing. Fast, chilly conditions are expected once again and it’s no secret that we’re looking to finish these final two days of 2022 with a BANG. Longshot plays all day!

Friday at Aqueduct:

Race 8: Infringement - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

Bottom level claimers go a mile here and if we’re going with the “best last race speed figure” angle, Infringement is the choice with her 55. Technically, Sealithic also has a 55 speed figure last out but that was earned at the Finger Lakes. Those numbers don’t always translate to success here in Queens, NY. Infringement hails from the hot barn of Randi Persaud who’s won with his last few claiming runners at under 14/1 odds. Low profile connections will still ensure fair odds on what appears the strongest closer in the field.
