God's Tipster's Friday Gulfstream Park Pick: The 6th is a turf mile and Tempora has genes to go gate-to-wire

Race 1: SCRATCH

Race 9: 8th@ 8.20/1

We began our Thursday with a scratch of our debuting runner in Race 1. In Race 5, My Sea Cottage broke on top and nobody pressed the 1/1 favorite and he coasted. C My Meister checked in third. In Race 9, Gem Cat broke sharply and set a wickedly fast opening quarter mile of 22.2 for the mile and a sixteenth and put the cue in the rack by the far turn fading to eighth.

We’ll head to Gulfstream Park for Friday’s races. Fast and firm conditions are expected. Let’s get right to it!

Friday at Gulfstream Park:

Race 6: Tempora - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 15/1

Claimers go a mile on turf in this race for fillies and mares. Tempora is a live longshot in this spot for 14% winning trainer Ralph Nicks. A son of Grade 1 placed turf running Temple City, Tempora’s dam - Bellarada won her turf debut at today’s one mile distance in gate to wire fashion. Savvy Gal is Tempora’s older sister who also won her turf debut in gate to wire fashion. There’s not an abundance of speed signed on in this spot and the favorites look suspect to say the least. I’m looking for a gate to wire tour de force by Tempora.
