God's Tipster's Thursday Aqueduct Pick: In the 8th, a sprint, looking for Lemon Taffy to pull a sweet upset

We are back to begin our final month of the year. We had rain in the forecast in the New York area on Wednesday but with the turf courses now closed for the season it shouldn’t matter as much. We are FIRING AWAY with BOMBS all day!! This is the time of year to do it.

Thursday at Aqueduct:

Race 6: Lemon Taffy - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 20/1)

Fillies and mares of the claiming variety sprint 6 1/2 furlongs in this one. This is yet another race where it’s difficult to trust the favorites so I’m looking for some value. Lemon Taffy is a bit interesting in here. Her two most recent starts on dirt were atrocious so she’ll be a toss for most bettors here but in her most recent dirt start she reared up at the break and broke slowly losing all chance. The time before that she lost her footing at the break but she did run a game second in her debut race right here over a muddy track in April of 2021. Trainer Henry Neville won here last week with Duckphat at 48/1 and that one’s workout on October 26 matches this one. This one worked the fastest of 7 while Duckphat worked 6th fastest of 7. Upset special at 20/1.
