Churchill Downs:

Race 2: 5th@ 7.83/1

Race 3: 2nd@ 1.96/1

Race 4: 6th@ 10.06/1

Race 7: 3rd@ 5.10/1

Our week began with Race 2 with Idratherbeblessed not blessing us. He stalked the early pace and kept on but could only manage 5th. In Race 3, Save Grace was part of a 5 horse early tussle where they went 22 seconds flat for the opening quarter and was still fighting on finishing second to Donyaknowit. In Race 4, Bold Medication could’ve used a prescription to make him run faster checking in sixth after getting bumped repeatedly early and stalking a fast early pace. In Race 7, Malibu Toast was sent to the lead and battled bravely through a contested pace and was passed in the shadow of the wire while missing 2nd place by a nose.

With Aqueduct closed til Friday we’ve got a Thanksgiving Thursday Day card from Churchill Downs. We’re expecting sunny skies with chilly temperatures and fast conditions. Let’s talk turkey!!

Thanksgiving Day at Churchill Downs:

Race 9: Speakinofthedevil - 2 pts win - BEST BET (U.S. Morning Line Odds: 7/2) -

Two year old maidens sprint 6 furlongs to close out our Thanksgiving of racing. Speakinofthedevil was bet down to 7/5 favoritism facing a field of 10 runners first time out and after a terrible break he played catch-up behind a slow early pace and was moving best late. Today he’ll face a similarly large field but based on his gallop out, this one looks like he’s got some quality to him. I haven’t designated a “BEST BET” play in a while but I feel this one will be far shorter than his 7/2 morning line would indicate here in the States. I’m thinking he’ll be closer to 9/5 here so I’m doubling down on this two year old son of Daredevil.

Wishing all our stateside members a Happy Thanksgiving and all our members around the world the very best of luck wagering on Thursday’s races from Churchill Downs!
