God's Tipster's Wednesday Churchill Downs Pick: The 7th is 2yo maiden sprint with a Toast before Thanksgiving

Welcome welcome welcome to a holiday week of racing here in the U.S. We’ll see some of the better races later on this week and we’ll be focusing on Churchill Downs on Wednesday and Thursday to start things off. We’re expecting fast, firm and chilly temperatures on Wednesday. Let’s get to work!

Churchill Downs:

Race 7: Malibu Toast - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 6/1)

Maidens sprint 6 furlongs in this one for two-year-old fillies. The caliber of runner is much stronger here than we’ve had in the other races we’ve looked at. Malibu Toast nearly won her debut right here at Churchill Downs at today’s six furlongs distance losing by a head. Second time out she was 7/1 in a tough field and may have moved a shade too early in taking the lead last time out before taking control on the far turn before being passed by Rarify. She was 5 1/4 lengths clear of the third runner that day. So far the two from that race that have returned have improved speed figures by 48 and 21 points. HUGE jumps! Hot barn and rider mean business here.
