In Race 1 Volatility sat off the pace and came with a mild bid before flattening out in the lane. In Race 2 we were hoping the rail speed would still be gold but we’re upended by a pair of first time starters who won nicely. In Race 3, we got on the board as Dylan Davis rated Jerry the Nipper for a change. We actually got an overlaid 5/1 here in the States on him. In Race 7, Marinara Sauced never got a call at nearly 50/1.

We got the momentum we were looking for with Jerry the Nipper ensuring a profitable day and we look to continue that momentum so let’s close out the week with another chilly day at Aqueduct. Fast and firm conditions are expected. Let’s get to the action!

Sunday at Aqueduct:

Race 10: Yarrow - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

Turf sprinters close out our week and according to the Timeform U.S. speed and pace figures, 10 of the 12 runners in this field are confirmed front runners. The remaining two include a 30/1 shot and our selection, Yarrow. Yarrow hails from the barn of Christophe Clement, who started the meet a little slowly at 11% but he usually doesn’t take long to heat up. Over the last six months with turf sprinters he’s been winning 23% at an average payoff of $7.17 so when I see he’s got a runner at 10/1 on the morning line with a possible pace advantage I have to bite. Let’s close out the week with a 10/1 bomb. Yarrow from the clouds!
