Saturday’s Race Recap from Aqueduct:

(All odds US)

Race replays for yesterday’s races from Aqueduct can be found here:

Aqueduct:

Race 1: 5th@ 13.70/1

Race 3: 2nd@ 1.60/1

Race 9: SCRATCH

In Race 1, What’s Up Bro didn’t have the best of breaks from the rail on debut. He did look to have some horse turning for home and mounted a brief bid before flattening out to fifth. In Race 3, Nova Rags was hustled from the gate and established position from just off the pace, rallied off heels in the stretch while altering course and continued with good energy gaining on the eventual winner while finishing second. Our selection in Race 9 scratched.

Let’s close out the week with some more racing from Aqueduct. The rain is supposed to let up by early Sunday morning so I’m expecting a fast main track. Not sure about the condition of the turf courses though. I like a few bombs today. You’ll rarely see me pick more than three races on a Sunday. Today I’ve got six. What can I say? I like the card so let’s fire away.

Sunday at Aqueduct:

Race 6: Veronica Greene - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 6/1)

The Winter Memories is a mile and a sixteenth stakes race on turf for three-year-old fillies and brought together a pretty talented looking field for an ungraded stakes race. There is a runner in this race named Candy Light who possesses an explosive turn of foot but I feel she’ll be up against it from a pace scenario. I’m gonna cut right to the chase here. I like Veronica Greene for the Chad Brown barn. Brown is the top turf trainer in the country and that barn’s top rider, Irad Ortiz is riding this one. He’s ridden three other contenders in this field. Two of those had winning efforts so his presence here means a lot. On top of that, Ms. Greene should have a favorable pace scenario as this is a race that lacks a lot of pace. Last time out she ran a speed figure of 80 which appears lower than some of these but after watching replays, she wasn’t being asked for her best and she looked like she was playing around out there. 6/1 odds would offer terrific value on Veronica Greene if you can lock them in with your bookmaker.

Best of luck to everyone playing Sunday’s races from Aqueduct!
