Race 5: 2nd@ 2.39/1

Race 9: 1st@ 2.87/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Our week began with Grimes in Race 5 going off favored at 2/1 off an 8/1 morning line. The track at Churchill Downs has been a bit speed favoring to start the day so it was a mad dash to the lead. Grimes was a pocketed third early on just behind the speed. He switched out entering the stretch and wasn’t able to get by the eventual winner finishing a much improved 2nd. In Race 9 Charley Rude got us on the board with a 5/2 WIN!! Stalking the pace from the outside, Charley Rude seized the lead turning for home and held off a challenge from Please Be Kind in the stretch for the win. Profitable way to start the week! Let’s keep the momentum up.

Let’s move over to Aqueduct for Thursday’s races. We’re expecting sunny skies and mild temperatures with a fast main track and a firm turf course. Let’s get to work!

Thursday at Aqueduct:

Race 7: April Antics - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 6/1)

Claimers race a mile here and this is a field that’s difficult to trust. Our 4/1 morning line favorite is 1 for 11 without a win this year. Our second choice on the morning line lost by nearly 20 lengths in her only start on dirt. April Antics comes in off an August layoff where she ran second in a race at Monmouth Park. That’s been a pretty productive heat already, producing three runners who improved their speed figures significantly in their next start. This miss owns the top speed figure for the distance and has the right closing kick that should benefit from the expected pace up front. Low profile connections should ensure more than fair odds here.
