God's Tipster's Wednesday Delaware Park Pick: The 3rd, a route for maidens, has one who's gone the distance

Good morning racing fans! Welcome to Breeders’ Cup week! We’re looking forward to an exciting weekend of racing but before that we’ll take in a few races from Delaware Park where they’re expecting light rain overnight. I’ll still be handicapping for fast conditions. Let’s get to work!

Wednesday at Delaware Park:

Race 3: Shaymyname - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

More maiden claimers, this time at a mile and 70 yards for two year olds and this is a fun time of year because some three year olds want to go this far and some do not. Shaymyname is an interesting 10/1 shot because not only is she the only runner in the field to have run a mile or longer more than once (three times to be exact) but she’s also just a single point away from owning the field’s top speed figure. And she earned that only two races ago and today she gets Lasix. She’s got connections who are 0 for 14 at the meet so I understand why she’s 10/1 on the morning line bus she’s got two snappy three furlong drills and if she can run back to her race here on Sept. 28, they’ll all be chasing her for the money.
