God's Tipster's Wednesday Delaware Park Pick: The 4th is a maiden claimer sprint, and Golden Heart beats fast

Good morning racing fans. We are back for another exciting week of racing action. After the first few days in October we’ve already shown a profit of $128.50 for the month 🔥🔥🔥.

We’re exactly one month away from Breeder’s Cup Weekend at Keeneland so we’ll see more important prep races over these next few weekends. In the meantime we’ll start our week with some racing from Delaware Park. We’ve had rain Monday and Tuesday so I’m handicapping for “off the turf” on Wednesday. Let’s fill our pockets!!

Wednesday at Delaware Park:

Race 4: Golden Heart - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

Two year old filly maiden claimers sprint 6 furlongs and we may have stumbled upon some value here uncovering a few things some handicappers might miss. Golden Heart actually made her debut last time out facing males and while her speed figure isn’t going to light the world on fire, there’s reason to believe she’ll improve with that start under her belt. Partially because her trainer, Gary Capuano, wins at 27% with runners making their second career start. That number improves to a whopping 53% (9 for 17) with dirt runners sprinting over today’s surface in their second career start so it’s safe to say she’s got connections on her side. What really caught my eye though was her closing kick. In her debut it took some time for her to get her wheels moving but once she did she was moving fast, finishing her final 1/8th in 11.46 which is lightning fast for this group. For some perspective, nobody ran a faster final 1/8th of a mile at Delaware Park that entire week. Not even the older allowance runners. I’m dubious that we’ll get the 10/1 morning line here in the States but if you can lock in those odds you might just start your week a winner !
