Belmont At The Big A Race 8 – The $125K Joseph A. Gimma Stakes

2yo NY State Fillies going seven furlongs

Just five fillies go to the post today in this seven furlong stakes race.  6-Gambling Girl (7/2) appears to be a tough out with her big win last out by eleven and returning to a :48.8 work. If 7-Miracle (2/1) returns to her first race form, and you cross out her second race running in the slop at Saratoga, she should take this. I am going with 4-Lady Mine (5/1) who has four races and was also in the sloppy Saratoga Seeking the Ante Stakes and ran a solid race getting up for second. Her sire, First Samurai, made a better 2yo than three year old, winning at first ask then peeled off an allowance win and two stakes in a row before getting up for third in the BC Juvenile as an even money bet. Four races and four consecutive increases in Equibase numbers lends credence to her ability to make a big move today.
