Good morning racing fans! We’re back to Churchill Downs to kick off our racing week. We are expecting fast and firm conditions and are looking to cash in on a few of those bad beats from last week. We’ve had two months in a row of profit and these next two weeks will be pivotal as we look to extend that. If we’re going to overcome all the second and third place finishes we had last week we’ll need to act with some precision. I am PUMPED to get started on the week!
Wednesday at Churchill Downs:
Race 10: Triple Chrome - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)
Maiden claimers sprint six furlongs here. Our morning line favorite - Offutt Cole, was a vet scratch at Saratoga at least once before that meet ended and takes another sharp drop in class so I’m not sure what we’re getting there and it’s not worth taking short odds on. Triple Chrome races for trainer Brittany Vanden Berg. Brittany is another trainer that doesn’t get a lot of recognition but she’s won 23% of her 105 races this year and does remarkably well with maiden claiming runners winning with 33% of her 24 runners of that type. In maiden claiming dirt sprints she’s won with 4 of 20 runners so from a statistics standpoint, Ms. Vanden Berg has them over a barrel. Triple Chrome the horse has good early speed but tires late so I’m hoping that adding Lasix will help fix that.
Good luck to all our members playing Wednesday’s races from Churchill Downs!
