God's Tipster's Thursday Delaware Park Pick: The 7th, The Cape Henlopen, is a turf route at 1 1/2 miles

Delaware Park: Race 2: 1st@ 6.70/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 5: SCRATCH

In Race 2, we got a HUGE overlay here in the US of 6/1 on Chalk Hill. She sat off the pace and won under a hand ride. Easy peasy! I knew the rainy weather would take us off the turf but had hoped they would’ve let Tall Girl run. Unfortunately she was a scratch from Race 5.

We had so much fun at Delaware Park Wednesday we’re going back for round 2 on Thursday. I’m hoping we’ll have fast and firm track conditions as there’s only a chance of rain the day before. Let’s get to work.

Thursday at Delaware Park:

Race 7: Alex Joon - 1 pt Win (US Morning Odds: 12/1)

Today’s feature race is the Cape Henlopen at 1 1/2 miles on turf and Two Emmys is our morning line favorite at 5/2 and deservedly so. He’s earned speed figures this year of 95, 84, 102, 80 and 99 and the lowest figure of that group was earned at today’s distance so I’m taking a shot with Alex Joon who’s 1/2 length away from a 3 race win streak. Last time out, Alex Joon faced some weaker competition but he handled that effort impressively. Today he races again for trainer Lindsay Schultz (26% turf wins) and will need to prove he can handle the new 1 1/2 distance on turf but his grand sire is the great distance specialist, AP Indy, and his dam’s sire was long distance specialist Include. He just needs a little pace to close into. If he gets it he’s got a shot to upset today’s feature race at generous odds.
