Risk Profile started our day with a third place finish behind runaway winner, Peaceful Waters in Race 3. Once the speed duel didn’t materialize, Peaceful Waters couldn’t lose. In Race 4, My Cara Mia Mine was bumped hard at the break before racing 5 wide en route to a fourth place finish. In Race 8, Consumer Spending finished fourth behind her stablemate, Haughty who was given a free pass on the front end. In the Grade 1 Alabama, Nest exerted her dominance once again over the class of three year old fillies stalking the early pace and imposing her will on the overmatched field winning easily at short odds. In Race 11, Barnegat Light gave our members a thrill, leading from the start til mid-stretch when he was run down by the eventual winner and some of the cavalry as he faded to sixth in the drive.
A BIG win by Nest on an otherwise forgettable Saturday for us at beautiful Saratoga.
Let’s close out another profitable week with Sunday’s race card from Saratoga. The perfect weather continues with fast and firm conditions expected once again. Let’s get to the action!
Sunday at Saratoga:
Race 9: Love Reigns - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 2/1)
Fillies take to the turf to sprint 5 1/2 furlongs in the Bolton Landing. You don’t need a handicapper to tell you a 2/1 shot is likely to win but I’m a handicapper telling you exactly that. Love Reigns romped in her debut winning by nearly 10 for turf sprint specialist, Wesley Ward. Ward thought so much of him he shipped her to Royal Ascot where she went off at 2.75/1 vs. a field of 20 other runners where she finished a valiant 4th while toting 128 lbs. Today she faces weaker again and doesn’t have a ton of pace to contend with.
Best of luck to everyone playing Sunday’s races from Saratoga!
