On the AE list, 12-Oscar Eclipse (5/1) looks like a live play. This is a recent article about the sire, Oscar Performance’s turf influence thus far. With a race under his belt at the track and distance, he ran an even fifth. He returned to a sound workout and scored a 1:00.8 at Churchill. If not entered, I’ll take a shot with the Oscar Performance colt 4-Deer District (15/1) who gets his second race and 1st route today for Dale Romans. He has two solid 5f works coming in and keeps his jockey.

Dirt 5 1/2 Furlongs|2YO MSW|Purse: $60K
I am not too crazy about the ML fave 4-Meraj (9/5), as his sire is marginal with second time starters, so I am going with 2-Barry’s Music (12/1). He is 1/2 brother to all-world Jackie’s Warrior and graded stakes winners Complexity and Drain The Clock. He has been working well leading in and his sire, Maclean’s Music is a healthy 29% with first time 2yo males. He should get a big jump from the gate and can wire this group.
