Race 2: 5th@ 5.60/1
Race 3: 1st@ 1.65/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Race 5: 1st@ 3.85/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We kicked off the month of August with Dorothy’s the Boss who raced 5-6 wide most of the way before flattening out to fifth. It didn’t take long for us to get revenge though as Leddy, our day’s BEST BET won Race 3 after being bumped at the start and racing three wide on the far turn she turned on the afterburners winning by more than three lengths at 1.65/1 odds here in the States. We capped off the day with another winner as Sosua Summer was taken inside to the far turn, was asked in mid-stretch for run and burst through between horses to win by nearly 3 lengths at just under 4/1.
Next we’ll take a look at Saratoga‘s Thursday race card. We are expecting fast and firm conditions although there is a chance of a thunderstorm with the humid temperatures in the area. Let’s get started!
Thursday at Saratoga:
Race 7: Secret Time - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 6/1)
Turf sprinters go 5 1/2 in this allowance event for fillies and mares. There are several in here with early speed including Mail Order who we liked last time out. Secret Time may have found a new home sprinting on turf though. Last time out she stalked a similarly fast pace to what she should encounter today and she switched out to a clear path and ran by the field without being asked for her best. She shortens up by a furlong and a half today but that shouldn’t be enough to stop her. 20% trainer with a 25% jockey make her an appealing 6/1 shot.
Best of luck to everyone playing Thursday’s races from Saratoga!
