Replays for yesterday’s races from Saratoga can be found here:
Saratoga:
Race 2: 3rd@ 2.20/1
Race 6: 4th@ 5.40/1
Race 9: SCRATCH
Race 10: SCRATCH
We had some thunderstorms roll through the area and that scratched our selections for races 9 and 10. In Race 2, Perceived came with a rally that wasn’t as strong as his last at Belmont and finished third behind No Burn, whom he beat by 5 lengths last time. In Race 6, Three Zero stalked the pace set by eventual winner Jeremy’s Jet and raised the white flag at the top of the stretch before fading to fourth.
We’ll head back to Saratoga for Friday’s races. We’re expecting fast and firm conditions beneath sunny skies with hot temperatures. Here we go!
Friday at Saratoga:
Race 8: Kokopelli - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 9/2)
Allowance runners bred in New York sprint on the turf here at 5 1/2 furlongs. Plenty of speed signed on with the 1,2,4,5,9 and 10 all preferring to hear their hooves rattle on the front end and Kokopelli is one who would benefit from any pace battle. She returns off a layoff of over a year for the Christophe Clement barn who wins at 22% with these types of layoff runners and 27% with turf sprinters. Clement has had a hot start to the meet winning at 31% already. I have a feeling these morning line odds of 9/2 will be bet down lower here in the U.S. so lock them in with your bookmakers if you can.
Best of luck to everyone playing Friday’s races from Saratoga!
