9-Andiamo A Firenze (7/2). If he follows in his half-brothers’ footsteps, Firenze Fire, he will win. Firenze Fire broke his maiden at first ask on the Jersey Shore in June of 2017 and returned to Saratoga next to win the Sanford.

7-Prove Right (30/1). Justify colt was scratched from the Prairie Gold Juvenile Stakes at Prairie Meadows on July 9. Without knowing whether they did not want to face a local buzzsaw named Tyler’s Tribe, or they wanted to point him specifically to this race, he is a tough gauge, yet he may be sitting on a corker. 20/36 (56%) of stakes races for two year olds we have recorded have had more than one race.

1-Boppy O (15/1). Half-brother to Pappacap, the talented son of Gunrunner who, like Sham that had to race against Secretariat, he has had to face Jack Christopher in his last two. He got a rare B+ in the clockers report in his last work, a :59.2. Thus far on dirt, Belmont runners have been dominant, and he is the first Gulfstream shipper to run on dirt this meet. Given that work, I expect him to hit the board.

8-I’m Wide Awake (20/1) is another with a B+ clocker report on June 25. Flavien Prat, who has yet to record a win this meet, gets the nod and you know he will win his fair share at this meet. Could this be the one?

4-Forte (5/2) with Irad Ortiz in the irons, who has won this event the last two in a row and four of six, along with stakes record holder Todd Pletcher, winner of eight, he will be bet down like he is an ATM waiting to give away free money. Given his sire's underperformance in this situation, I am not a buyer.

11-Putheblameonme (30/1) is one to keep a sharp eye on in the post parade. Luis Saez & co. thought enough of this colt to go to Parx and won. His sire has not only a 1/1 record with colts in this situation; he is 3/3 with all sexes.

10-Roman Giant (20/1) is going to be my choice. Much is being heralded by Forte’s :12.02 last furlong and being overlooked is this colt’s :12.0. Yes, his sire is bad in this scenario, yet I cannot help to think that he is going to get a better Equibase score today and certainly the outside post is a big help.
