Belmont Park:

Race 5: 4th@ 1.25/1

Race 6: 10th@ 11.70/1

Race 9: 2nd@ 2.20/1

In Race 5, Gasoline was sent toward the lead and set the pace but when asked to turn back challenges on the far turn, his tank was empty. In Race 6, Unlock had a similar race, setting the pace before fading late. In Race 9, Martinez stalked the early pace, had dead aim on the leaders but when push came to shove he didn’t want the win as much as 16/1 Moon Hunter did.

We’ll head to Belmont Park for their Saturday Stakes card. We’ve got the Grade 1 Belmont Derby and Grade 1 Belmont Oaks among a few other graded dirt races as the Belmont spring meet draws to a close. There’s a chance of showers in the forecast but I don’t think even a monsoon would rain them off the turf in these big weekend stakes. Let’s get to it!
