God's Tipster's Wednesday Delaware Park Pick: In 4th, a route race speed duel may set up closer at a price

Good morning racing fans. We’re going to start our week with some racing from Delaware Park. We’re expecting fast and firm conditions beneath partly sunny skies. I’m not thrilled with the card so I’ve only got one selection for the day that I think offers value.

Wednesday at Delaware Park:

Race 4: Ghost Maiden - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

Allowance runners go a mile and seventy yards to start our week. Our morning line first and second choice look to also be the two main speeds here so I’m looking for a stalker/closer type and while Ghost Maiden’s 66 speed figure didn’t top this field, it wasn’t far from the top last out number (4 points away). In addition, trainer John Robb is 4 for 9 with three second place finishes at the meet so far and rider, Xavier Perez has won 4 of 10 starts with three second place finishes. Impressive. Value play at 8/1.
