Race 3: 7th@ 6.70/1

Our Friday began with a dull effort off a layoff by Dream Fly. I literally can’t remember the last time I saw such a poor effort in a turf sprint from a Wesley Ward runner. I guess he needed the race. In Race 5, Mischievous Dream got us some redemption winning off the fast expected early pace and drawing away at the end once she found running room to win as our day’s BEST BET. In Race 9, the huge longshot inside of Jet Set Juliet set a fast pace and the rider called it a day early.

We’ll stay at Belmont for Saturday’s races. At this time I’m handicapping for fast and firm conditions but with hot, humid temperatures there’s always a chance of a thunderstorm that could dump rain on us.
