Race 8: 1st@ 2.10/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 9: 3rd@ 9.20/1

Race 11: 4th@ 12.40/1

Race 13: 4th@ 5.00/1

Our day began once again with a WIN as Shacks Way dueled for the early lead and gamely wore down his rival at the wire. In Race 4, Sir Alfred James closed from behind but didn’t pack much of a punch and wound up 4th. In Race 7, Time Limit was right on the pace battling with the eventual winner, Joy’s Rocket before weakening to third in the lane. In The Dinner Party, Race 8, one of our 2 point Bets for the day, Set Piece sat off a moderate early pace and blasted clear in the end to win off by an easier-than-it-looked length and a half at overlaid odds of 2/1. In the Chick Lang Stakes it was Lightning Larry winning the speed duel. Chasing Time ran on well nicely for third over a track that has been kind to speed. I"ll be following this one over the summer in the Saratoga sprint races. In Race 11, Ruggs stalked the early pace but was swooped outside by eventual winner Ethereal Road and faded to fourth. In the Preakness it was Early Voting with the stalking trip to score while holding off late bids by Secret Oath, Creative Minister and Epicenter.

We’ll head to Belmont Park to close out our week. We’re expecting fast and firm conditions beneath sunny skies with hot temperatures. Let’s get to it!

Sunday at Belmont Park:

Race 9: Committed - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

Turf sprinters close out our weekend. Vocalize is likely to be our favorite but with Todd Pletcher’s barn hitting a bit of a cold streak it gives us the opportunity to hunt for a price. It’s interesting that Committed enters here. He’s dropping in class from maiden special weight races for the first time in his career and picks up world class rider Joel Rosario for an ultra low profile barn that’s still won with 25% of its runners from 8 starts this year. There’s a runner from the Clement barn at lower odds so it’s interesting to see Rosario end up here. His past performances include names like: Multiple grades stakes winning Fulsome and other tough runners, Hidden Enemy and TD Dance. Should have a class edge on these and will be flying late.

Best of luck to everyone playing Sunday’s races from Belmont Park!
