Hello racing fans. We’re back with some racing from Belmont Park before we take aim at Pimlico for Preakness weekend on Friday and Saturday. It has been beautiful in New York this week but we are expecting some rain on Thursday so I’ve handicapped accordingly just in case.
Let’s get to the action !
Thursday at Belmont Park:
Race 8: Dancingwthdaffodls - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 20/1)
Turf sprinters go 6 furlongs and of the thirteen runners entered in the field, many of them have similar speed figures so it’s not worth taking a short price. Similar speed figures are one thing but there’s only one runner in this field who has won three times over this turf course (only one other runner even has two wins here). Three of the thirteen have two wins at the distance and our selection also checks that box. Dancingwthdaffodls runs for the lowest of low profile barns but one who already has one winner and two place finishes from eight starts so far this meet. Last race appeared to be a prep race off a November layoff. Bombs away to end our day!
Best of luck to everyone playing Thursday’s races from Belmont Park!
