God's Tipster's Thursday Belmont Park Pick: 7th race is a turf sprint, handicapper resorts to Nuclear Option

We began our week with a tough loss in Race 4 as MrSinatraGloryLady was taken off the early pace, swung wide and was closing with a full head of steam to miss the win by a neck. We got our revenge in Race 6 as Sister Annie went to the lead in her turf debut and never looked back winning off easily. In Race 9, it was a dead-game Mr. Springtime holding off Amicable en route to a layoff victory.

Let’s move our tack back to Belmont Park where we’re expecting fast and firm conditions beneath sunny skies with warm temperatures. Let’s get to the action!

Thursday at Belmont Park:

Race 7: Nuclear Option - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

Turf sprinters sprint 6 furlongs over the inner turf. There are a few shorter priced runners that are hard to trust at their expected short odds because of layoffs and not being able to get their noses to the wire first. An interesting option here could be Nuclear Option who’s listed at 10/1 on today’s morning line. While his recent main track starts have left something to be desired his turf fork has been consistently good throughout his career) Runner owns a bullet work since his most recent start and hails from a 29% barn who wins with 38% of races where horses race the very first time with him. Trainer also has a win 21% in turf sprints. Value at 10/1 or higher.
