God's Tipster's Wednesday Churchill Downs Pick: 6th race is sprint for claimers with an Extreme choice

Good morning Betting Gods Team and May the 4th be with you! - forgive the lame attempt Star Wars humor. We’ve got a busy week ahead with the Kentucky Oaks on Friday and the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. Let’s get started with Wednesday’s race card from the home of those historic races - Churchill Downs. There’s rain in the forecast all week so I’m handicapping accordingly. I’ll be staying away from turf races on Wednesday and Thursday since, if it rains, they’ll presumably take them off the grass in order to preserve the turf course for the Stakes races on Friday and Saturday. Here goes!

Wednesday at Churchill Downs:

Race 6: Extreme - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/2)

Mid level claimers go 6 furlongs here and this is a race that’s likely to feature a fast early pace. Extreme appears to be the speed of the speed and now he’s dropping back to the claiming price he last won for last October. He’s caught some pretty fast paces in his last few starts and shouldn’t have as tough of a time on the front end today.
