Good morning racing fans! We’re back with another exciting week of racing action from around the United States. We’re a little more than a week away from the Kentucky Derby and that’s the “unofficial” start to the US racing season. This week we’ll be back at Belmont Park starting Thursday but we’ll start the week with some Wednesday racing from Keeneland where we’re expecting fast and firm conditions beneath sunny skies and mild temperatures.
Wednesday at Keeneland:
Race 5: Nosilverspoonshere - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/1)
Maiden claimers go 7 furlongs in this one. Trainer Brad Cox has continued his winning ways into this Keeneland meet with a 25% win percentage. That number is 30% with maiden claiming races and 41% with runners going on Lasix for the first time. This runner debuts for sharp ownership group who places their horses well and just recently began using Brad Cox as trainer. Sire, Connect only wins with 10% of first time starters but that should help our price. Her workouts look fast and she was tanned with Casa De Goat way back on March 3. Both had an identical workout time and the aforementioned Casa de Goat debuted last weekend with a scintillating 12 length win and an 81 speed figure. Look out!
Best of luck to everyone playing Wednesday’s races from Keeneland!
