God's Tipster's Friday Aqueduct Pick: In the 9th, maiden claimers route on turf and a 10/1 shot looks Mighty

Our Thursday began with That’showsherolls getting off to a great start but wasn’t able to keep pace with hot 18/1 first timer Crackalacking and checked in 4th. In Race 4, Lyrical Poet gunned right to the lead and set a fast pace en route to a clear cut victory. In Race 8 I inadvertently gave out a writeup for Tweety Show with Go Big Blue Nation’s name on my original list of selections as that one was my original selection for the race. Tweety Show was meant to be our pick and she was rated in last behind a slow pace, circled widest for the stretch drive and closed well with interest for fourth, finishing fastest of the group at 16/1 but was definitely a victim of pace today while beaten just over a length for top honors. In the final race of the day first time starter Shady was never a factor in debut.
We’re expecting a beautiful, warm, sunny day at Keeneland for Friday with a fast main track and a firm turf course. We’ve got the same going at Aqueduct so we’re doing a combo day. I like a few heavy favorites that still offer value based on their morning line odds. Let’s get to the action.
Friday at Aqueduct:
Race 9: Mighty Meister - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)
Turf maiden claimers race a mile and a sixteenth here. It’s not often you get 10/1 odds on the runner with the top speed figure at the distance and the surface but that’s the case here based on today’s morning line. Mighty Meister hails from the lowest of low profile connections so the price should be reasonable and he owns this fields only speed figure above 60 at a route of ground on turf and he’s done it twice. He sheds the blinkers today and gets back to his preferred surface. He’s been facing much tougher and will be moving late.
