Saturday’s Race Recap from Aqueduct & Gulfstream Park:
(All odds US)
Replays for yesterday’s races from Aqueduct can be found here:
Aqueduct:
Race 1: 11th@ 14.00/1
Race 6: 1st@ 0.70/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Race 7: 2nd@ 21.60/1
Our day at Aqueduct started off with Analysis getting vanned off after injuring himself during the running. Hoping he’s all right. We got on the board in Race 6 when Tin Pan Alley fought hard the whole way and powered off for a win. In Race 7, our selection Kingdom Queen rallied strongly for second to miss the win by a neck at 21.00/1 odds giving us yet another long odds runner to finish just shy of a win this month.
Gulfstream Park:
Race 1: 2nd@ 3.90/1
Race 6: 1st@ 1.20/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Race 10: 4th@ 10.40/1
Race 11: 2nd@ 0.50/1
Our day at Gulfstream began with a blanket finish behind Tetragrammaton who won in wire to wire fashion while our selection, Carnivore, was battling gamely amongst horses and finished 2nd in a dead heat. In Race 6, we got our win at Gulfstream as Spirit Wind went to the lead early and bid the field a fond farewell winning easily after setting a strong pace. In Race 10, I was hoping for High Crime to get sent to the early lead from the rail post but Warrior’s Pride had other ideas and beat him to the punch. High Crime ran on well for fourth. We closed out our day with Nitrous Channel running a game second in the Hutchison Stakes.
That’s two wins and three second place finishes from 7 picks on the day.
Let’s head back to Aqueduct for Sunday’s races to close out the week. We’re expecting sunny skies with mild temperatures and fast conditions. Let’s get to work.
Sunday Aqueduct:
Race 8: Group Hug - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 9/2)
Looking to close out our week by giving our members a Group Hug and at 9/2 odds, Group Hug looks like he’ll offer value in this starter allowance at a mile on dirt. Group Hug finally lands in a spot with enough speed signed on to set up for his late kick. Jockey change to Manny Franco who’s winning at 18% and recent workout indicates readiness.
Best of luck to everyone playing Sunday’s races from Aqueduct!
