Saturday’s Race Recap from Fair Grounds:

(All odds US)

Race replays for yesterday’s races from Fair Grounds aren’t up yet. I was able to find the Lecomte so I attached it below.

Fair Grounds:

Race 2: 1st@ 2.40/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Race 3: 5th@ 17.60/1

Race 5: 3rd@ 2.60/1

Race 6: 3rd@ 3.20/1

Race 9: 2nd@ 3.50/1

Race 12: 4th@ 8.00/1

Race 13: 5th@ 17.00/1

Race 14: 1st@ 28.50/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Our day began with a rail-skimming trip by Florent Geroux on Gunfighter after getting denied an outside path by the rider of Bon Bueno. A professional move up the rail for the win. In Race 3, Achilles Heel sat off the pace but the speed dual we were hoping for never materialized and that one checked in 5th. In Race 5, Almanzo stalked the pace but wasn’t able to quicken in the lane and run down loose leader Peaceful Waters. In Race 6, More Than Work got a great trip and was right there on the finish line with three noses across the wire but wound up third in a blanket finish. In Race 9 we had another tough go as our newcomer Vinco checked badly early on and rocketed on to be second after recovering. In Race 12, Own Agenda stalked the pace and finished a non-threatening 4th. In the Louisiana Stakes - Race 13 - we had Sprawl who stalked and faded while the big guns had the race to themselves. We bookended the card with a win in the Lecomte as Call Me Midnight closed from the back of the back to get up for the win at odds of 28.50/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Two wins - one BIG, a second and two thirds

Let’s take a look at some races at Gulfstream Park for Sunday. We expect fast and firm conditions beneath sunny skies. Let’s get to the action!

Sunday Pick for Gulfstream Park:

Race 9: Amusing Antics - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

Turf sprinters go 5 furlongs here and the betting public will probably side with Igloo and Hit the Woah breaking from the inside posts. Both have similar figures in turf sprints and hail from strong barns. Amusing Antics will probably get overlooked breaking from post 10 and her turf sprint speed figure is just as strong as the favorites in here. She races for Bill Mott and Junior Alvarado and was motoring at the end of her last start. Plenty of speed signed on here and she could be the one to eat them up in the lane.

Best of luck to everyone playing Sunday’s races from Gulfstream!
