We get to see if the money was well spent with a few of these. Klaravich Stables 3-Credit Event (2/1), a $180K colt by Not This Time/Candy Ride, is ½ brother to Gun Runner Stakes winner and Lecomte Stakes favorite Epicenter. 2-Once A Giant (8/1) Street Sense/Vindication is a $235K, 2020 Keeneland September yearling purchase. 7-Forwardly (3/1) a $100K 2yo spring buy is from Twirling Candy/Jump Start, and the $585K Keeneland September yearling 4-War Beat (9/2) is by War Front/Bernardini. Chad Brown’s uncoupled entries of Forwardly and Credit Event will, as always, be bet down. In typical Chad Brown fashion with relatively inexperienced horses, their workouts are rarely indicative of their ability. I am going with Forwardly, whose sire Twirling Candy, is 29% with second time runners given these parameters. Most impressively, every one of those second starters ran a better score than their first race.
